In our work and that of our partner organizations all over the world, we are confronted with many obstacles that prevent people from enjoying good health.

In the Philippines, for example, the majority of diseases and health problems among the poor are brought about by poverty. Together with our local partners we cannot but conclude that this poverty is the result of the concentration of the land in the hands of the big landlords while the majority of farmers (seven out of ten) do not own the land they till. Most of them have to toil in unhealthy circumstances and without earning enough to live a healthy live.
