The HWC runs the Shepherd's Field Nursery and Kindergarten in Beit Sahour and the Kindergarten in Um Touba. Up until the year 2000, they provided daily care to almost two hundred children. Since then the hardening economic circumstances have resulted in many women losing their jobs, subsequently forcing families to take their children out of the centers

By the end of the year 2006, the Kindergarten and the nursery were scheduled to move into one premise. (The relocation took place in January 2007). Improved environment, better care and economic considerations distinguished this approach.

Activities:

95 children on daily basis are visiting the new facility. 20 local journeys were made during the year, and more than 1000 children participated. 30000 meals in the morning and 30000 meals at noon were given to the children in the year of 2006. And regular medical check ups preserved the well being of the children.
