The program aims to contribute in improving the health of Palestinian children under 5 years of age, so HWC provide preventive health services, free and therapeutic potential of all children under five years of age in thirty locations. The program in clinics delivered by specializing crew consisting of doctor, nurse and health services working, either in permanent location who shall provide services and physician clinic nurse.
Child proper services program To promote health awareness, program was completed the following activities in 2006 based on the program of health education certified by a crew based on mother to mother and addition to the Family Health Guide and various bulletins issued by HWC. The bulletins covered several issues such as the growth and development of children, most prevalent diseases, the importance of play for children and others.
2006 Indicators, Total cases benefited from the Well Baby Services Program was 6410, the vaccination has benefited 2306 children, the total beneficiaries of the program's total reached in the year 2006 to 8716 children.
180 educational activities organize for mothers for children's health 1962 mothers were beneficiaries.
295 home visits organize to follow up the activities of childcare and health.
Meaningful indicators on the health of children
Based on the protocol for child health program has conducted blood tests for children under the age of five the results were:
615 screening blood for children 111 had been referral to hospitals or health advice. 146 children had been examined who were suffer from weak growth,16 of them has been referral for medical follow-up. Early detection services had been providing for 132 children who suffering from deformities were convert for treatment.
