  The Health Work Committees Publishes a Book That Includes Journalist Investigations Regarding the Apartheid Wall  
     
   
 

The Health Work Committees published a book called, The Wall: A Bullet at the Ground and another at the Human, which includes 17 investigations by Palestinian journalists about the Apartheid Wall. The investigative reports in the book were collected by Khaled Al Faqeeh, who praised the HWC for not only their health care efforts, but also for their monitoring of Israeli violations against the Palestinian people, as well as the organizations relationship with Palestinian journalists.

  

The HWC has been organizing the annual journalism competition since the year 2000, referring to the role played by the late Dr. Ahmad Al Maslamani, who was the General Manager of the HWC, and who believed in the important role of the media in our national liberation battle and the exposure of the occupations policies on the ground.    

   

The book is made up of 136 pages and is made up of investigations from the journalist Tahseen Yaqeen, which won first place in the competition. The second investigation was by the journalist Ibrahim Abu Kamesh titled ‘The Implications and Effects of Annexation and Expansion Wall on Life and Wildlife in Palestine’, and the third investigation was titled ‘Life in the Shadow of the Walls: Itching is only allowed on Saturdays’ written by  the journalist Bilal Ghaith.    

  

The book also included investigations by Nael Karaja titled ‘the Effects of the Apartheid Wall on the village of Nabi Samuel’, Adeeb Hourani’s ‘Al Ram Between Prohibition of Development by the Wall and Absence of the Prohibition of Services’, the investigative report of Khaled Ma’ali called ‘Izbet Abu Hasan, the Story of Long Steadfastness Against Settler Attacks’, and Saed Abu Farha’s investigation called ‘The Walls Negative Effects on All Aspects of Palestinian Life Including Health and the Environment’.  

  

The book also includes a journalist investigation by Raed Omar titled ‘Kufur Laqef…A Village that was Safe Until its Siege by the Wall and its land swallowed by the Occupation Monster’ in addition to Abdel Baset Khalaf’s ‘The Apartheid Wall: Palestinians Without Medicine and Confiscated Health’ as well as Atef Shukair’s investigation titled ‘The Apartheid Wall and it’s Health, Environmental, and Legal Effects on the Palestinians.
