HWC started work, through Community Development Centers in Bethlehem governorate and the old city of Jerusalem, a new program funded by the Spanish Relief Society . this program will run for 3 years and aims at enabling basic institutions and improving health, social, and living conditions of residents of targeted areas. This program also includes several activities relevant to empowering and develops the infrastructure of some centers and institutions, such as providing them with office equipment, so as to be able to provide high quality services for the public. This program will also hold several training workshops on women and youth empowerment, several youth summer camps, several discussion panels on the concept of identity, and strengthening the concept of voluntary work and other health and agricultural topics. Ra'id Oadat, program coordinator, mentioned that HWC have established a coordinating committee for this program representing HWC's community development centers in Beit Sahour, Jerusalem, and the western rural areas of Bethlehem with the supervision of the general administration in Ramallah. This committee will implement and monitor program's work methodology and will conduct several evaluations to ensure achieving program's goals. |
