HWC representing NGOs in Euromed meetings

HWC participated in the meeting of the Board of Directors of the NGOs Euromed Forum in Paris. Mr. Yousef Habash, Public Relations Officer at HWC, participated in the meeting representing the Palestinian NGOs Network. The meeting included presentations on the meetings that were held by the Forum's Executive Office, analysis of policies and work programs for 2008, financial status of the Forum, next year's budget, and the relations between Forum's networks and organizations and the Board.
Habash added that the Board decided to appoint an executive director for the Forum, the terms of reference for which to be identified later. Mr. Habash also met with several Arabic and international activities in Paris, such as The Union of Palestinian Students, with which discussion of the preparations for the Nakba celebration took place. He also met representatives of the Palestinian community in France and with the Palestinian ambassador, Ms. Hind Khouri, in which Habash introduced the work of HWC and other NGOs, on both national and international levels. Ms. Khouri expressed her willingness to cooperate and support the NGO Network in advocating for the legitimate Palestinian rights. Habash evaluation of the trip is that it was successful and productive.
