Health Work Committees (HWC) calls for an end to the repercussions of the sixtieth anniversary of the Nakba (catastrophe) and invites the Palestinians to uphold their right of return

Health Work Committees called for the world (those who claim defending civilization) to take an unequivocal stand towards the tragedy of the Palestinian people; the sixty years on the rape of their land and the displacement of its people in all parts of the world. HWC also stated that it is time for those that have had the upper hands in robbing the Palestinians of their land to recognize their responsibility towards this historical crime.

HWC also consider that the Zionist groups' and the occupation entity's bet, that the elderly will die and the young will forget, have failed. After six decades of Nakba, the keys of Palestinians' homes in the occupied Palestinian territories are still being circulated by the Palestinian generations and passed through generations as they inherit their own blood. They did not drop their desire and determination to return to their homeland despite the attempts of occupation to impose other facts on the ground and its falsifying names and attempts to killing Arabism through place and time.

HWC also stated that since the Nakba, the Palestinians population has doubled in number seven times and despite this their resolve and insistence on their right to return to their homeland is not weakened and is not waived with the passage of time or with changing times. HWC also asks the United Nations to apply, without further delay, its famous resolution number 194 which states that Palestinian refugees are to return to their homeland. HWC deplore suspicious attempts to circumvent the right of individuals and groups to return and to resettle refugees in countries hosting Palestinian refugees.

HWC also condemned the participation of some leaders and heads of states in the celebrations of the anniversary of the establishment of the state of Israel, at the expense of indigenous land owners, and the facsimile of congratulations by some to the Israeli leaders on the anniversary of establishing their usurper individual on our occupied land.

HWC call for Palestinians to first end their political differences so as not to lose their people's right in their usurped land stressing the importance of keeping the banner of their right to return and of working to achieve it as a fact on the ground, warning against turning the claim to the right to return into just seasonal events linked only to the yearly Nakba anniversary.

HWC also reviewed the status of Palestinian refugees in homeland and in Diaspora, referring to ill health and living conditions after 60 years of being deprived of their right to their homeland, health care, education, and the right to life while being prohibited from employment in several counties they currently live in.

HWC consider the passing of 6 decades on Palestinian Diaspora and continued siege and murder is a disgrace to the world and its claim to civilization and people's right of self determination. What is happening and what has happened so far is a proof of the imbalances of international justice with its double standards under the control of the global forces of imperialism over decisions made.
