HWC honored its staff and volunteers at a reception held in Al-Beira on Labor Day

In honor of the first of May, HWC honored its staff and volunteers at a reception held in Al-Beira on Labor Day. The ceremony opened with the Palestinian National Anthem and a minute of silence was observed in memory of the souls of the Palestinian and Gaza martyrs. Afterwards. Dr. Yassir Manasra/ Director of HWC's Board of Directors delivered a speech in which he praised HWC's staff working in its clinics, centers, and programs in all homeland governorates. He also saluted all Palestinian and world hard workers. He called for HWC's staff's solidarity in their pain and worries at this stage as they have always done.

Ms. Shatha Odeh, HWC General Director remembered the late founder of HWC Dr. Ahmad Maslamani and the late Dr. Kamal Zeineh, whom both passed away early this year,  and she pledged to continue working with the same approach and way Dr.Maslamani  has paved of supporting the poor and marginalized and the inalienable national rights. Ms.Odeh said that honoring HWC's staff is the least that can be offered for them with all their dedication and hard work. She also talked about the current political and economic status in Palestine pointing to the presence of 180,000 unemployed workers, large some of whom are with college degrees.
